This week I have the privilege of chatting with Amy Hehre, CEO of OVI Children’s Hospital in Kenya. At 20 years old, she dreamt of a missional life serving orphans in Africa. She found the strength to pursue this calling when someone asked her “If that’s the life you want to be living, then why aren’t you doing it?”
By the age of 22, she had plans for the organization in Kenya. At 24, she had an active ministry and deed in hand for the hospital. When she reached the ripe age of 25 she had seen her vision come to fruition in an operating hospital that was at full capacity.
After two years of operating, she now has dreams of opening 88 more hospitals.
She shares about the struggle of devastation and death that she sees in a daily basis but the beauty that she sees God doing within the midst of it.
Amy also talks about how she is using a non-traditional business model to fund her family while growing the business and is currently modeling that structure for her ambassador program.
